Delinquent Habits burst onto the rap scene in 1996 with their eponymously titled debut album, and were soon winning praise for their unique brand of funky Latino hip-hop, Here Come the Horns is the explosive follow-up. Still under the guidance of Cypress Hill's Sen Dog, we see the three in a much funkier mood and, as the name suggests, the album is peppered with samples of luscious Mexican horns. The bass and beats are meaty and driven, and rappers Kemo and Ives … mehrcomplement DJ OG Styles ripping Latino sound with skilful and playful rhymes, occasionally slipping into Spanish for added effect. The title track, "1 Adam 12" and "Life I Live" stand out, but the whole album is a master class in ferocious funky hip-hop. An album for those days when you wish your Ford Escort was a Chevy Lowrider. --Duncan Thomson weniger
